Aliens and UAP ~ Wicked Deception and False Signs and Wonders
Pastor Leslie Chua
“The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
In recent years, a question once confined to the fringes of science fiction has muscled its way into the centre of public consciousness. What are the unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) – formerly known as UFOs – that are increasingly acknowledged by governments, militaries, and credentialed scientists around the world?

The question is no longer whether something is going on, but what it is.

The 2022-2024 US Congressional hearings, the establishment of the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), and the sworn testimony of former intelligence officials about “non-human intelligence” and “biologics” have shifted the cultural conversation. What was dismissed as tinfoil-hat speculation barely a decade ago is now treated as legitimate national-security discourse. The question is no longer whether something is going on, but what it is.
Science has no settled answer. Astrobiology cannot account for reports of physics-defying behaviour by these craft. Mainstream theology has largely been silent, embarrassed by the topic. But a growing body of Christian scholarship – represented by the late Dr Michael Heiser, Gary Bates, Chuck Missler, L.A. Marzulli, and the astrophysicist Hugh Ross – has begun to offer a coherent theological response.
The alien phenomenon is not extraterrestrial. It is interdimensional or extradimensional and ancient.
In my previous pastoral reflection, I posed the following questions: If there is concrete evidence of alien life, what are the theological implications? How do we account for the existence of such beings? Does this imply the demise of Christianity? Can the biblical worldview accommodate non-human entities and UFOs/UAP? Is there a coherent biblical explanation?

The Bible certainly provides answers to all these questions. I will address them in several ways across a few articles. In this article, I will argue that aliens and UAP are manifestations of fallen angels and their activities.
I will lay out a biblical framework by exploring 4 interlocking themes: the prophesied “strong delusion” of the End Times; the world at the End Times resembling that of Genesis 1-11; the appearance and iconography of divine entities in Scripture and the Ancient Near East; and the interdimensional nature of UAP.
The Coming Strong Delusion
First, the coming strong delusion. We read about this earlier in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12.
The apostle Paul, writing to the young Thessalonian church, which was grappling with anxiety about the return of Christ, warned of a future deception of unprecedented scale.
Take note of 3 points in Paul’s warning.
First, this great deception is supernatural and powerful. The Greek phrase he used – “energeian tou Satana” – means “the activity (working) of Satan.” The deception is not merely demonic; it is energised by Satan himself and manifests as dazzling signs and wonders that deceive the entire world, including Christians.

God Himself will send a strong delusion so that unbelievers and false believers “may believe what is false.”
____________________________________________
Second, this deception accompanies the lawless one, a clear reference to the Antichrist. False signs and wonders will precede his entry onto the world stage of geopolitics.
Third, God permits deception to sift the wheat from the weeds – believers from unbelievers and true believers from false believers. God Himself will send a strong delusion so that unbelievers and false believers “may believe what is false.” In other words, those who refuse to love the truth will be given over to believing a lie. The delusion does not create unbelief but confirms it.

The alien and UAP deception would also discredit the biblical account of human origins, introduce a new “saviour” narrative that supplants Jesus Christ, and unite the world under a new spiritual paradigm that excludes all religions, including Christianity.
____________________________________________
This raises a question: What kind of deception could be so visible, so plausible, and so universally compelling that both followers of Christ and the secular, scientifically educated world would be deceived?
A traditional religious false prophet will not suffice. The modern, sophisticated crowd will not be swayed by a religious figure. But a scientific revelation, such as the discovery of non-human higher-intelligence entities with advanced technology and craft, would certainly capture the world's attention and do exactly what Paul prophesied.
The alien and UAP deception would also discredit the biblical account of human origins, introduce a new “saviour” narrative that supplants Jesus Christ, and unite the world under a new spiritual paradigm that excludes all religions, including Christianity.
I would argue that alien and unidentified anomalous phenomena could be the “wicked deception” described by the apostle Paul. They will set the eschatological stage for the Antichrist's emergence.
Overt Supernatural Manifestations in the Last Days.
Second, overt supernatural manifestations in the Last Days.
The theological key to understanding the alien and UAP phenomena lies, paradoxically, in the earliest parts of Scripture – the first 11 chapters of Genesis. The biblical account in these chapters reveals overt interaction between divine entities and humanity – the talking serpent in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), the crossbreeding between fallen angels (sons of God) and humans, producing the Nephilim hybrids (Genesis 6), and humanity’s rebellion at the Tower of Babel, which was essentially an interdimensional portal to the supernatural realms of the gods.
There are reasons to believe that the world at the end of the Last Days will resemble Genesis 1-11, characterised by overt supernatural manifestations.
This is neither vain imagination nor frivolous speculation. On the contrary, it is grounded in the Scriptures.
Jesus compares the time of His return to rapture the church with the time of Noah: “For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man” (Matthew 24:37).

At the time of Noah, the world was a theatre of cosmic rebellion, spiritual warfare, and supernatural corruption.
____________________________________________
The parallel extends beyond humanity’s wickedness and their indifference to the warning of the impending flood; it also points to the rebellion of the sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4 – they took human form to marry women and produce the Nephilim.
At the time of Noah, the world was a theatre of cosmic rebellion, spiritual warfare, and supernatural corruption.
The apostle Peter, in speaking about the Lord’s coming, also refers to the time of Noah and the sin of the angels in Genesis 6:1-4 – For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment (2 Peter 2:4-5). Bible scholars agree that this is a clear allusion to the first book of Enoch (1 Enoch 10:4-13). The context is the sin of the angels in Genesis 6:1-4.
Next, consider the apostle John’s apocalyptic visions. They depict the terrifying events of the 7-year Tribulation in vivid detail. Several passages graphically describe the overt manifestations of fallen angels. In one such passage, a fallen star (angel) is given the key to the abyss (bottomless pit), and when he opens it, swarms of locusts emerge from it onto the earth (Revelation 9:1-11).
____________________________________________
If we take seriously the words of Jesus and Peter, as well as John’s apocalyptic visions, we should expect overt supernatural manifestations in the Last Days. We should expect the boundary between the natural and supernatural dimensions to thin, the unseen realm to become increasingly visible, and humanity to be drawn back into open interaction with fallen angels.
____________________________________________
Many scholars and theologians interpret this vision metaphorically, arguing that these locusts symbolise terrifying evil coming upon the earth. This is because they do not hold a supernatural worldview.
I contend that these locusts are fallen angels, once imprisoned and now released to cause havoc on the earth. Their leader is Abaddon (Hebrew) and Apollyon (Greek). John describes their appearance and mission in detail. Why the precise details if they are invisible to human eyes and merely symbols of evil and destruction?
If we take seriously the words of Jesus and Peter, as well as John’s apocalyptic visions, we should expect overt supernatural manifestations in the Last Days. We should expect the boundary between the natural and supernatural dimensions to thin, the unseen realm to become increasingly visible, and humanity to be drawn back into open interaction with fallen angels.
The modern alien and UAP phenomena must be situated within this theological context. From a supernatural perspective, fallen angels manifesting as aliens and performing incredible feats (signs and wonders) are within biblical plausibility.
The Appearance of Divine Entities – Cherubim and Seraphim
Third, the appearance and iconography of divine entities in Scripture and the Ancient Near East.
In biblical art, angels are often depicted as men with huge wings on their backs. I suppose this is the appearance of some angels. In the Bible, they sometimes appear as ordinary men without wings, like the two who rescued Lot from Sodom.
Note that angels are just one category of divine beings. The word for angel is mal’ak in Hebrew and angelos in Greek, both of which literally mean "messenger." This reflects their role as God’s messengers. However, not all divine beings are angels.
There are different categories of divine entities. Scripture mentions cherubim and seraphim. They have distinct functions and look markedly different from angels.
In a vision, Ezekiel saw 4 cherubim, also known as living creatures. They are the guardians of God’s throne.
This is how Ezekiel describes them: “They had a human likeness, but each had four faces, and each of them had four wings. Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calf’s foot. And they sparkled like burnished bronze. Under their wings on their four sides, they had human hands… As for the likeness of their faces, each had a human face. The four had the face of a lion on the right side, the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four had the face of an eagle” (Ezekiel 1:5-10).
The apostle John also saw 4 cherubim, but they looked different from those Ezekiel saw. They were “full of eyes in front and behind” and had 6 wings (Revelation 4:6-8). Each had only one face. One looked like a lion, the second like an ox, the third like a man, and the fourth like an eagle (Revelation 4:6b-8).
From a human standpoint, these cherubim look like grotesque monsters, but I am sure they are magnificent, as befits the guardians of God’s majesty’s throne.
We now consider the seraphim.
The original Hebrew word for seraphim is “saraph,” which literally means “burning one” or “fiery serpent.” It is used in 3 ways in Scripture.
____________________________________________
In their biblical depiction, the seraphim are winged, serpentine, fiery beings. They are not human-looking. They are dragon-like guardians of God’s throne.
____________________________________________
In Numbers 21:6-9, God sends “fiery serpents” (nechashim seraphim) among the rebellious Israelites. Moses then crafts a bronze “seraph” on a pole for healing.
In Isaiah 6, seraphim with 6 wings surround Yahweh’s throne, crying “Holy, holy, holy.”
In Isaiah 14:29 and 30:6, the prophet speaks of “flying fiery serpents” (saraph me’opheph) (NRSV, Hebrew).
In their biblical depiction, the seraphim are winged, serpentine, fiery beings. They are not human-looking. They are dragon-like guardians of God’s throne.
In ancient Egypt, the Pharaoh’s crown featured a winged cobra. Winged cobras also appeared ubiquitously in Egyptian art, flanking thrones, temple thresholds, and sacred objects.
____________________________________________
According to the renowned Old Testament scholar Michael Heiser, the seraphim were originally members of God’s divine council, but some fell. These became the gods of the ancient world, openly manifesting themselves.
____________________________________________
The winged-serpent motif is pervasive across virtually every ancient civilisation. Winged serpents and dragons were venerated from Mesopotamia (the dragon-serpent of Marduk) to Greece (the Python at Delphi) to China (the imperial dragon).
Why?
According to the renowned Old Testament scholar Michael Heiser, the seraphim were originally members of God’s divine council, but some fell. These became the gods of the ancient world, openly manifesting themselves. Ancient histories that contain details of the supernatural are now considered myths. By the same modern yardstick, Genesis 1-11 is also a myth.
The imagery of serpents and dragons persists not because it was invented, but because humanity remembers it. The gods of Egypt, Babylon, Canaan, and the wider pagan world are, in the biblical view, fallen members of the heavenly host (Deuteronomy 32:8-9, Psalm 82; 1 Corinthians 10:20).
____________________________________________
Here is my point: Don’t be surprised by aliens with serpentine, reptilian, or other weird-looking appearances. Some angels – more specifically, non-human entities – look like that. UAP researchers have identified 4 categories of aliens: the Greys, Nordics, Reptilians, and Insectoids.
____________________________________________
This explains why the serpent in Eden is not merely a reptile capable of speech and deception, nor merely a representation of Satan, but Satan himself. It also explains why Satan is called “that ancient serpent” and “that great dragon” in Revelation 12:9 and 20:2.
The devil is consistently depicted in a serpentine, dragon-like form – the same form ancient civilisations worshipped under different names.
The pagan dragons of antiquity are not myths. They are memories.

The Interdimensional Hypothesis
Fourth, aliens and UAP exist in other dimensions within Earth's realm.
For a long time, aliens and UFOs were believed to be extraterrestrial, originating in other galaxies many light-years away. But the hypothesis has shifted in recent years. They are now believed to be interdimensional or extradimensional entities from parallel realities within the Earth.
Here are the arguments in support of the interdimensional hypothesis (IDH).
First, UAPs often perform manoeuvres that defy general relativity and disappear instantly from both visual and radar tracking. The IDH explains this as shifting between dimensions rather than travelling at high speeds.

Second, many military and civilian reports describe these UAPs emerging from the ocean and diving directly into it, rather than disappearing into outer space.
Several highly publicised encounters – most notably the 2019 incident involving USS Omaha – show radar and infrared footage of spherical objects that appear to dive seamlessly into the sea without splashing.
US military reports and congressional hearings have also documented cases of UAPs emerging from water and then accelerating into the atmosphere at incredible speeds.
Third, astrophysicists such as Hugh Ross believe that space travel at or faster than the speed of light is impossible for biological beings. He reckons that speeds greater than 1% of the speed of light would cause catastrophic structural wear on the craft and lethal radiation exposure to the crew.
Fourth, aliens and UAPs frequently exhibit paranormal traits, such as telepathy, shapeshifting, and time distortion. Some researchers have documented claims that invoking the name of Jesus instantly halted or disrupted traumatic abduction experiences, suggesting that these entities are spiritual beings.
The interdimensional nature of aliens and UAP is consistent with the biblical understanding of angels and demons. Under normal circumstances, they are invisible to the human eye, but they could manifest visibly because they are interdimensional beings, moving in and out of the spiritual or higher dimension.
The Deception is in the Aliens’ Claim
Here is my concluding thought: The deception lies not in the existence of aliens and UAP, but in their claims. Fallen angels (divine entities) are real, but be cautious of their claims.
When they appear, they will likely make these claims.
First, they are from a distant galaxy, and they seeded Earth. They created human civilisations. The idea of directed panspermia has been widely accepted in recent years. The ground has been scientifically prepared for this wicked deception.

Second, all religions are passé, especially Christianity. Yahweh and Jesus Christ are not God; they belong to the same category of higher intelligence.
Third, God and His angels are the rebels, and these aliens have come to expose Christianity's lie. Jesus is no Saviour and has misled humanity. They have come to reveal the truth and set the record straight.
Soon, they will cleanse the Earth by eliminating Jesus’ followers. This will be a convenient lie to explain the mass disappearance of Christians at the rapture.
The great deception will occur with the disclosure of the alien and UAP files, followed by the overt manifestation of the fallen angelic entities in the days ahead.
